3 Basic Items for the Perfect Studio Photoshoot

Having some trouble to gather the perfect wardrobe for your studio? Here I give you some tips often used here at the Mii-Estilo Studio - and all with items from your favorite webshop! 💖

1.   B O D Y S U I T S
The Bodysuits are definitely a must have in any studio. Here I will show you our bestsellers and the best way I did find to work with them.

The Erika Maternity Bodysuit

It is a simple, but timeless item, that will be photographed over and over again - believe me!

The Black Erika Dress is commonly photographed at a white or grey background.

The most used poses while wearing this soft jersey item are the close ups and profile photos - that’s probably due the gorgeous silhouette that this design features. The long sleeves and the turtleneck neckline make the model’s silhouette incredible to be photographed on the side. It is just the type of design that the bump will need to be accentuated with a pose.

I often ask my models to pose on the side with one hand on her bump and the other one on her back so their belly can be easily seen.

Another little tip from me? If you only have a white background, you can always place your lights a bit further away - therefore you will have a grey background!

The Daylily Maternity Bodysuit

This stunning bodysuit is used as a base item in so many studio photos due its simplicity. Believe me: this one fits every single model in a very flattering yet simple way. The model can pose standing, on her profile but also laying down on the floor.  The Daylily is impeccable to be combined with our scarfs for the “wow-flow-photos”.

The Mirabilis Maternity Bodysuit

Another great bestseller and, more often than not, combined with other items and accessories. The Mirabilis Bodysuit is a must have to every studio.

Nevertheless this item is amazing to be photographed alone and only.
Let your imagination guide you and go heavy on the accessories!

From this item we do have 3 great options of "key dresses" that will more than suffice this category. The Dahlia, The Calla and The Alaska are the best examples of less is more and will for sure do a great part of the work for you. You will not regret acquiring these incredible dresses!

The Black Dahlia Maternity Dress

Just like the Erika Bodysuit, The Dahlia Dress is also one of the photographer’s sweetheart. This dress has the perfect structure to bring the best of the feminine curves.

I do tons of shoots with this dress and absolutely love the result of the profile and close up photos.

The Dusty Pink Alaska Maternity Dress

Moving a bit to the romantic side this elegant and yet simple dress is the perfect choice for a dreamy photoshoot. The most recommended color is definitely the very romantic and very beautiful dusty pink.

The design from this dress is very simple but flattering and so it is the structure from the fabric - with beautiful lace flowers. It’s a long and tight dress that features long sleeves, an off the shoulder and sweetheart neckline. Your model will be able to pose standing, on her profile and also laying down. This one is definitely a go!

We could not forget about the scarfs! Without doubt the most purchased item in the website - due the versatility and availability in several colors. The scarf can be used in so many ways.. I could probably spend a whole day describing ways, and I would for sure still forget to mention a few! Check our instagram for more ideas and inspirations!

The Silky Scarf

Can we start with the silky one?

The sand and the off white are definitely a must have! They are the bestseller colors for a reason :) These key colors can be easily combined with many backgrounds, I, for one, love to combine it with an oyster color - they match perfectly with each other!
